Flow of the Game[]

At the start of the game, each player has $5,000 consisting of five $1000 bills. Players place their tokens on either one of the 2 GO spaces.

The game has 4 rounds. Each round has 2 stages: buying and trading. In a round, the buying stage comes first before the trading stage.

Buying Stage[]

In this stage, players roll their own die and move around the gameboard. All players have to continuously keep on moving and buying.

If a player lands on a property that is unowned (the board has the Title Deed card), they can buy it or forget about it. All properties have the price of $1,000 each. If they want it, they will throw a $1000 bill into the center of the board and take the Title Deed card of this property off the edge of the board. If they don't want a property or they don't have any money to buy, they simply roll their die without hesitation. Auctions are not available in this game.

A player must keep on rolling and going when they land on a property already owned (no Title Deed card on the board). No rent is paid.

Jail is always unlocked. If a player goes to Jail by landing on "Go to Jail" space, they will move their token to Jail, but they will get out of Jail instantly to keep on moving.

If a player reaches any one of the 2 GO spaces, they will take one $1000 bill from the center of the board.

  • Time in the Buying Stage
    • 1st Round: 30 seconds
    • 2nd Round: 20 seconds
    • 3rd Round: 20 seconds
    • 4th Round: 10 seconds

As the game progresses, the time in the buying stage is getting shorter. The total time for all of the buying stages is 80 seconds (1 min 20 sec).

When the horn sounds during the buying stage, a round's buying stage ends and the trading stage begins in that round.

Trading Stage[]

In this stage, players among themselves can trade properties for other properties (or cash). Also, they can use their Chance cards (1 or more in a single round).

At the beginning of the trading stage in each round, all players will pick up only 1 Chance card from the top of their pick-up piles. If the card can be kept for later use, a player will put it facedown in another pile near them to use. If another card says to use it immediately, a player must use that card. After a card is used, it will be discarded somewhere else for the rest of the game. A player can use 1 or more Chance cards per round.

  • Time in the Trading Stage
    • 1st Round: 40 seconds
    • 2nd Round: 50 seconds
    • 3rd Round: 70 seconds
    • 4th Round: 70 seconds

As the game progresses, the time in the trading stage is getting longer. The reasons are that more properties are in the hands of the players and there are more Chance cards for the players to use. The total time for all of the trading stages is 230 seconds (3 min 50 sec).

When the horn sounds during the first 3 trading stages, the current round ends and the next round begins. When the horn sounds during the 4th trading stage, the game will end.

Scoring at the End of the Game[]

The game will end in around 5 minutes 15 seconds. After the end of the game, the players will tally up the cash on hand, properties, and bonuses.

The procedure of scoring is as follows:

  1. Count the $1000 bills that you have.
  2. Tally the values of all of the properties you own.
    • Each Title Deed card is worth $1,000 normally.
    • If you own a complete color set, each of the streets in that complete color set is worth $2,000 (double of the normal value).
    • If you own all 4 railroads by yourself, each railroad is worth $2,000 to you.
    • If you own all 2 utilities by yourself, each utility is worth $2,000 to you.
  3. Turn over all 3 of your Community Chest cards to reveal and to apply.
    • If you meet the requirement of a Community Chest card, you will get a bonus in that card. Add the bonuses to your score.

After the players follow the whole procedure, they will total the values from the three steps in that procedure to determine the final scores. A player who has the highest score (highest total value) wins the game.
