МОНОПОЛИЯ or Monopoly: Russian Edition is a Russian version of Monopoly, subtitled "Настольная игра, обучающая торговле недвижимостью" (roman. "Nastol'naya igra, obuchayushchaya torgovle nedvizhimost'yu", transl. "A board game that teaches real estate trading") (1997-2008) or "Динамичная игра в торговлю недвижимостью" (roman. "Dinamichnaya igra v torgovlyu nedvizhimost'yu", transl. "Dynamic real estate game") (since 2008) is the original international Russian-language version of the classic boardgame by Parker Brothers.

Soviet Era[]
Since Monopoly wasn`t available in USSR, unlicensed analogues were distributed. The most popular was Менеджер (roman. Menedzher, trans. Manager), including due to the transition to capitalism. Other popular analogues were НЭП (NEP) and Кооператив (roman. Kooperativ, trans. Cooperative)
First Russian Version[]
In year 1997, first official Monopoly was released in Russia, with properties/streets from Moscow; while the game itself was translated in Russian language. The version had translated name Монополия (roman. Monopoliya). Its currency that it used was the Russian rubles, all values multiplied by 1000 (for example, the most expensive street Ulitsa Arbat costs 400 000 rubles).
