Monopoly Go! Shields

Shields in Monopoly Go serve as defensive measures to protect one's landmarks from attacks. These shields are represented by pick-ups placed randomly on various Property Tiles (including tax and utility tiles) across the game board. Whenever a player's Token lands on a property tile with a shield pick-up, an additional shield pick-up will appear on a different tile. Notably, as of September 18th, 2023, shield skins have been introduced, allowing players to acquire and display a variety of shield designs in their showrooms. These shield skins can be obtained through events such as Peg-E and Egyptian Treasure, as well as tournaments where players achieve a ranking of top 7 or top 5.

Pink Heart: This shield will be awarded for the top place during the Oktoberfest Contest tournament.
Armor Up: This shield will be awarded for the top place during the Barrel Race tournament.
Superstar: This shield will be awarded for the top place during the Pretzel Party tournament.
Rocket Blast: This shield will be awarded for the top place during the Skyscraper's Blast Off tournament.
Ghost: This shield will be awarded for the top place during the Ghost Chase tournament.
Cha-Ching PEG-E: This shield will be awarded for the top place during the Dot Com Dash tournament.
Scorpion: This shield will be awarded at level 10 of the Egyptian Treasures event.
Cranberry Splat: This shield will be awarded for the top place during the Turkey Race tournament.
Mr. M Spartan: This shield will be awarded for the top place during the Nessie's Quest tournament.
Heroic Red: This shield will be awarded after purchasing the Games for Red sale.
Merry Spruce: This shield will be awarded for completing the Santa's Workshop sticker set for the Heartfelt Holidays sticker album.
Golden Merry Spruce: This shield will be awarded for completing the Nutcracker Dreams sticker set for the prestige of Heartfelt Holidays sticker album.
Santa: This shield will be awarded for the top place during the Mistletoe tournament.
Cozy Sweater: This shield will be awarded for the top place during the Xmas Sweater Contest tournament.
Rudolph: This shield will be awarded for the top place during the Reindeer Gallop tournament.
Snowflake: This shield will be awarded for the top place during the Santa’s Sprint tournament.

Winter Champion: This shield will be awarded for the top place during the Speedster tournament.

Choco Heart: This shield will be awarded for the top place during the Bouquet Builders tournament.
Space Capsule: This shield will be awarded at level 13 of the Galactic Treasures event.

Among the various shield skins available, there were a few noteworthy animations. For instance, the "Peg-E" shield showcased Peg-E bot gripping a shield in its hands. On the other hand, the "Rocket Blast" shield exhibited rockets that would take flight when the shield is destroyed. Other examples include: the "Disco Ball" shield where the disco ball knocks out the center of the shield, and the "Star Capsule" shield where a star flies away when the shield breaks.
Some shield skins have some unique designs for them. These includes: the "Peg-E" shield looks like a force field, the "Armor Up" shield has a vault door operating wheel on the front, the "Ghost" shield has a cutout shield of a pumpkin, the "Cranberry Splat" shield has a silver shield-shaped plate, and the "Merry Spruce" shield has a Christmas cookie design.
Peg-E, Ghost, and Snowman are the only shield skins where the characters are holding the shields.
Water Works and Jungle Tablet are the only shield skins to have a round-shaped design.
Mr. M Vintage, Neon Nights, Superstar, Mr. M Spartan, and Santa are the only shield skins to have Mr. Monopoly on the front of the shield.
Rudolph and Masquerade Scottie are the only shield skins to have Scottie on the front of the shield.
Pink Heart and Choco Heart are the only shield skins to have a heart-shaped design.
Cozy Sweater is the only shield skin where some clothes turned into a shield design.
