The amount in newer sets is $20,580. The character locked behind the bars is called Jake the Jailbird. Officer Edgar Mallory sent him to jail. In 2000, Hasbro renamed the MONOPOLY® mascot to "Mr. Monopoly". Before then, he was called "Rich Uncle Pennybags". Although MONOPOLY® is well known for taking a long time to play, it is theoretically possible for a two-player game to be won in just two full turns with neither player ever passing GO.
