Levels

Level 1

Level 1 is recommended for the very young players ages 4-5.

This level focuses on counting and matching.

Players cannot go bankrupt in this level. The game ends when all properties (16 in total) have been purchased. A player with the most properties wins the game.

Level 2

Level 2 is recommended for players ages 6+.

This level focuses on reading and simple math.

Players will utilize Title Deeds with properties purchased. The game ends when only one player is bankrupt. The player with the most amount of money wins, similar to Monopoly Junior.

Starting the Game

Choose someone to be a banker to take charge of the Bank.

  • Usually, a parent or a teacher will be the banker.

Each player chooses a token and its corresponding sold signs (12 per token). A player puts their token on the GO space.

The money, Chance cards, and Title Deeds will depend on a level chosen.

Level 1

Only $1 bill is used. The banker gives 10 $1 bills ($10 to start) to each player.

The banker shuffles the Level 1 purple Chance cards and place them face-down.

The Title Deeds will NOT be used in this level.

Level 2

Both $1 and $5 bills are used. The banker give 10 $1 bills and 1 $5 bill ($15 to start) to each player.

The banker shuffles the Level 2 teal (bluish-green) Chance cards and place them face-down.

The Title Deeds will be used. They are placed at their corresponding property board spaces.

Who Goes First?

The youngest player goes first.

Gameplay

On your turn

When somebody passes the die to you, it’s your turn. When it is your turn, follow these steps in order:

  1. Roll the die.
  2. Move your token in the direction of the arrow. It is going to the left (clockwise).
  3. Where did you land? Follow the rules of that board space.
  4. After following the rules, your turn is over. Pass the die to a player on your left.

Board Spaces

  • GO
    • When you reach this corner space, you get $2.
  • Property
  • Chance
  • In “Time Out” / Just Visiting
    • The “Time Out” is like “Jail”.
    • If you land on "Time Out", you are “just visiting”.
  • Free Parking
  • Go to “Time Out”

Properties

Unowned

If nobody has a sold sign on a property, that means that property is unowned.

If you land on a property board space that is blank, you get a property.

You must buy a property because you cannot go away without getting a property (unless you do not have enough money). Follow these steps:

  1. Pay the amount according to that property board space.
    • In Level 1, if you do not have enough money, you can ignore paying it.
    • In Level 2, if you do not have enough money, you are bankrupt and the game ends. If you have enough to buy, but not the exact amount, the banker can make change.
  2. Place your sold sign onto that property board space’s color box.
  3. Only in Level 2, you get a Title Deed card for that property.

Owned

If there is a sold sign on a property, that means that property is owned.

If you land on a property that is not yours (owned by someone else), you must pay the money to a player that placed a sold sign there. An amount to pay is the amount on that property board space.

  • In Level 1, if you do not have enough money to pay, you do not have to pay.
  • In Level 2, if you do not have enough money to pay, pay the rest of your money to that player and you are bankrupt. The game will end.

If you land on a property that is yours, you do not have to do anything and you stay there at the end of your turn.

Color Set

There are 8 color sets.

  1. Brown
  2. Light Blue
  3. Pink (Magenta)
  4. Orange
  5. Red
  6. Yellow
  7. Green
  8. Blue (Dark Blue)

Each color set has exactly 2 properties.

If you own 2 properties of a same color, you own a complete color set. When somebody else lands on one of those 2 properties of that complete color set, you collect twice (double or 2 times) the rent from that player (a player that lands on your property).

Chance

When you land on a board space that has the question mark (?), you must pick up 1 card from the top of the Chance card pile.

Read, look, and follow the instructions (directions) on a Chance card that you just picked up. That card is used when you finish following the instructions.

After a card is used, put that card back on the bottom of the Chance card pile. Put that card the same way as for the other cards on the pile (all facedown, showing the question marks).

Time Out

When you stop on a corner space that says “Go to Time Out” with a finger pointing, take your token to the "Time Out" corner space on the other side of the board. Put your token in the orange square that has the picture of a clock. Do NOT pass GO, and do NOT collect $2.

At the beginning of your next turn, you can get out from "Time Out" by doing any of these 2 things:

  • Use a “Get out of Time Out Free” Chance card.
  • If you do not have a “Get out of Time Out Free” Chance card, pay $1 to the Bank.
    • If you have no money ($0) to pay, you can get out from "Time Out" for free.

After getting out of "Time Out", you roll the die.

End of the Game

Eventually, the game will come to an end if a certain event happens.

Level 1

The game ends when all 16 properties have been sold and owned.

The player with the most properties wins the game.

  • If there is a tie, a player with the most cash among the tied players wins.

Level 2

The game ends when only 1 player has no money (has been bankrupt).

The player with the most cash wins the game.

  • If there is a tie, a player with the most properties among the tied players wins.
